Miss Lauren is Artistic Director of Dimensions In Dance and Dimensions On Stage. Lauren fell in love with all things performing before she ever stepped foot on the stage. As an actor, she has originated roles in over 60 plays and musicals. She began her professional training for theatre arts in 1998 as a graduate of Collaborative Arts Project Pre-Professional Program through NYU Tisch. While studying as an Acting major at Boston University, Lauren performed leading roles in plays such as An Ideal Husband, and How I Learned to Drive. In L.A. and New York, Lauren has worked extensively in regional theatre, commercials and independent films, including one which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. As a director and choreographer her commissions include full length productions for Kingsborough Community College, Poly Prep Country Day School, and other arts-in-ed programs throughout NYC. She is currently a company member of Synthesis Dance Project and performs and tours regularly. Lauren has spent the last seven years teaching acting, dance, private coaching and specialty workshops to children and young adults while continuing to maintain an active professional in the industry.
Miss Ashley started with DOS in the Summer of 2013 teaching camp. She joined the Stage family full time in the Fall of 2013. Ashley also teaches dance here in Brooklyn and in Queens, as well as heads the Arts Department during the summer at Camp Funkist via the YWCA of White Plains- Central Westchester. Originally from Michigan, Miss Ashley holds a BA in Musical Theatre from Adrian College in Adrian, MI. There, she was a Varsity cheerleader and also the captain of the Majorette line. Since moving to NYC, she has made her Off-Broadway debut and has performed in various cabarets and showcase performances at The Duplex, 54 Below, The West End, and The Melrose Ballroom. She has had the privilege to sing for and work with Titus Burgess, Scott Alan, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Pasek and Paul, Natalie Weiss and Adam Guettel to name a few. She also has taken dance instruction from Tony Award winning "Newsies" choreographer, Christopher Gattelli. Miss Ashley loves her students and the DOS Family and happily enters her 6th season! She is married to our "light guy" and stage crew extraordinaire, James and lives in Astoria with their 3 lb. Chihuahua, Sparky.
Miss Victoria joins us for her first year at DOS! She currently teaches our Saturday classes. We are so pleased to have her on staff as she comes to us with an extensive background in musical theatre, specializing in vocal performance. She currently lives in Bay Ridge and loves seeing her students around the neighborhood!
Miss Cassie has been a member of the Dimensions on Stage family since it's groundbreaking. She began as a student, then as a teaching assistant and is now a full time member of our teaching staff. She studied music and theatre in High School at Edward R Murrow and now is completing her undergraduate at Brooklyn College. She's had the privilege to sing at Radio City, Beacon Theater, and Jones Beach, as well as Madison Square Garden. Her greatest inspiration above performing is teaching children to feel comfortable in front of an audience, hone their skills, perform with confidence, and have fun on stage!
Miss Justine has been a member of the Dimensions family since she began dancing at the age of six. Also a full time dance teacher at Dimensions in Dance, Miss Justine wears many hats. Not only is she our Office Manager, but she assists in Costume Design, Set Design, and House Management for all of our performances. She truly is Superwoman and we are lucky to have her!
Miss Danielle has been a Teaching Assistant at Dimensions since 2015. She also is one of our Stage Managers for all of our performances. She comes to us as a former student from 2011- 2014. Miss Danielle attends Bay Ridge Prep High School. Also a former student of Dimensions in Dance, she has been dancing since the age of 3. Miss Danielle is an integral part of our teaching staff and we appreciate her time and passion in working with children and helping them grow!
